Registration will open at 3 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time Friday, October 6 on the 16th Floor of the Sheraton Pentagon City.  Informal networking will start Friday afternoon at the same, and the opening plenary session starts at 6:30 p.m. Friday night. Can I arrive early or stay late if I want to?

Yes, absolutely, we know many conferees are doing this. In fact, we encourage you to do so. Extending your stay can give you a chance to stay relaxed and rested for the Conference and to take some time to visit the Washington, D.C. area. The Sheraton Hotel, however, has now fully booked the rooms that were available at the Conference rate.

Where is the Conference?

The Conference is located in Arlington County, Virginia, Pentagon City Sheraton Hotel, 900 South Orme Street, Arlington, Virginia 22204. The hotel is located adjacent to Arlington National Cemetery, and is 2 miles from Ronald Reagan National Airport (as the plane flies). The entire Conference Program will occur at the hotel.

How can I get to the Sheraton from Reagan National Airport, Dulles Airport or Union Station, D.C.?

The Sheraton runs a shuttle bus every 30 minutes to National airport. Information about this shuttle can be found here [link]. The Sheraton is a 4 mile car ride from National airport, typically less than a 10-minute ride. Taxi is the most convenient way to reach the hotel from the airport.

From Dulles Airport, the most convenient method to reach the Sheraton is by taxi. The Sheraton is 22 miles from Dulles Airport. Depending on time of day and traffic, travel from Dulles will take 35 minutes to 75 minutes. Typical taxi fare for the trip is approximately $60. From Union Station/Amtrak, the most convenient method to reach the Sheraton is by taxi or Uber/Lyft. The Sheraton is approximately 5 miles from Union Station. Depending on time of day and traffic, travel from Union Station to the Sheraton will take 15 to 35 minutes. Taxi fare is approximately $20 from Union Station.

Can I take Metrorail to the Sheraton?

The Sheraton does not have easy access to Metro. The hotel runs a shuttle bus every 30 minutes to Pentagon City Metro Station (Blue/Yellow lines). The hotel is approximately a 30-minute walk from Pentagon City or Pentagon Metro Station. However, the hotel is less than a 5-minute drive from Pentagon City Metro station or Pentagon Metro station (also Blue/Yellow lines) both of which have taxi stands.

If you are traveling at the height of rush hour from outside of Arlington County, Metro-to-taxi may be the most convenient route.

Can I drive my own car directly to the hotel? Can I park there?

Yes. The hotel has a large parking garage with ample reserved parking for both hotel guests and conference attendees. Parking costs $30 per entry and per day. There is no nearby on-street parking.
